Showcook continues its tradition of connecting young talent with industry professionals highlighting the competition’s role in providing a strong foundation for learning and personal development. Guest speakers, mentors and judges; celebrated Elsa Van Der Nest from Singapore, together with Lorraine Meaney Executive Pastry Chef of Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, part of Accor, Chef Kevin Reed, former ‘One&Only Reaching for Young Stars Most Promising Chef 2018’, now a TV celebrity and cooking up a storm in America at Cape Cod and award-winning Sommelier Jean Vincent Ridon of Sommeliers Academy.
The SA Chefs Association’s cooperation and interest in the event are appreciated, with future objectives including the participation of a major star pastry and hot kitchen chef in the SA Culinary Olympic Team.

An extensive program has been designed to introduce motivational and inspirational guest speakers at the launch workshop hosted by CHEFS TRAINING & INNOVATION ACADEMY, CTIA, Stellenbosch Campus.
