Workshop & Training Sessions

Wine Wisdom with the Cape Wine Academy in March was followed by visits to wine estates and meetings with the winemakers. Other workshops and training sessions included crafting cocktails, a masterclass with Vlad Klaic of the Academy of Liquid Arts at the Superyacht Culinary Academy in Cape Town, and a masterclass with Togara Mabharani on bread making at I Love Coffee. There was a superb week of business management training with Carlyn Sassman at the NYDA, the Highfield Training Workshop with June Steenekamp of Didactix at the International Hotel School, and barista workshops with Wayne Abrahams of Avanti Coffee, who shares his passion for coffee, hosted by the Cape Town Hotel School. The final workshop was recently held at InUwell in the V&A Waterfront—time to exhale and take a holistic approach to wellbeing.
